After his college, he got his first job at ST Microelectronics as a software engineering intern in Greater Noida. Rahul was passionate about becoming an entrepreneur. Mere seven months after his job, he started his own company, Pay22g. During that time, the internet did not penetrate much in India, which is why he launched the website for an instant mobile recharge facility providing cashback as well. After a year, he shift to sales and engineering in Aspiring Minds.

Rahul worked as a front-end engineer at ReTech Labs. He created an Uber-like web-based app for retail automation B2b there. After nine months, he joined Sapient as a Senior Interactive Developer for a year. Rahul joined Paytm as a senior software engineer for eight months. He worked the longest with Deutsche Telekom as a lead engineer for 2.6 years. During this time, he experienced difficulty in interviewing hundreds of candidates which led to the beginning of intervue io.
