However, Parvathi and her husband Siddaramaiah are in the headlines after the rising controversies of the MUDA scam. It involves around 3.16 acres of land that belongs to Parvathi Siddaramaiah. Social activist Snehamayi Krishna filed a complaint against Parvathi, her brother, and some government officials. Why does she claim the matter to be unfair?
Who Is Siddaramaiah Wife?
Parvathi is married to Siddaramaiah. The couple lives happily together and are parents to two children. Parvathi gave birth to two sons Rakesh and Yathindra. Rakesh was also a Kannada actor. According to the Times Of India, he acted in some movies that did not make a screen release. He passed away due to multiple organ failures in July 2016. While Yathindra is a doctor and politician. According to sources, Parvathi is also the director at Prasiddh YS Diagnostics Pvt Ltd. She is also a partner at BMMN Enterprises & PRY Projects LLP. She has a brother named Mallikarjun.
What Is MUDA Scam?
MUDA Scam is an ongoing controversy related to land in Kesare Village, Mysore. The land in the Kesare Village is 3.16 acres and belongs to Parvathi. Her brother, Mallikarjun gifted the land to her. However, The recent complaint mentions that he acquired the land illegally and registered it with forged documents in 2004. Some government officials and revenue department officials helped him. Later, MUDA acquired the land for development which stands for the Mysore Urban Development Authority. Its major purpose for acquisition was to form colonies leading to the development of the area.
MUDA fulfils the housing needs using such lands and provides it to the public. As MUDA acquired the land, it provided a prime land of 38,284 square feet to her as compensation in Mysuru. However, the controversy arises as the land she gets as compensation has a much higher value than the land of 3.16 acres she had. Parvathi’s husband mentions that MUDA gave the land of its choice in compensation and they made no request for that land. Also, the land compensation for 3.16 acres of land is less than 1 acre in size. Thus, if the land is acquired by illegal methods by her brother, the activist raises questions on the compensation land which is of higher value.
Social Activist, Snehamayi Krishna filed the complaint against Parvathi Siddaramaiah, her brother, Mallikarjun, and some government officials connected to the acquisition of the land. Snehamayi alleged the involvement of the Mysuru District Collector and some government officials along with Parvathi, her brother, and some officials of MUDA in the scam. She sent a written letter to the Karnataka governor, Chief secretary, and Principal secretary to take action against the matter. She requests the investigation to start within seven days. The police already formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) for the case. Keep reading with Charca Times for more information.
