Jay Shah is an Indian businessman and secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). He was recently appointed as the 5th Indian to head ICC and has already been in the field of cricket administration for many years. Starting his journey as the executive board member of the Central Board of Cricket, he is now the 5th Indian to lead the ICC. Jay Shah was born on 22 September 1988 in Gujarat, India to Amit Shah and Sonal Shah. Starting his career in the field of cricket administration, he slowly went on to become everyone’s favourite. After his debut in the industry with the Central Board of Cricket, he was appointed as the joint secretary of the Gujarat Cricket Association. His father Amit Shah was also the president of GCA at that time. Thus, he got a chance to overlook the Narendra Modi Stadium’s construction.
Jay worked with the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) and the Board of Control for Cricket In India (BCCI) for a decade. However, ICC entered his life in 2019 after he joined as the ICC Board Member Representative working for two years. They now elected Jay as ICC’s new chairman.
